Saltwick Bay and Saltburn, medium format

Image
After Christmas, at the beginning of the year we visited the north east and stayed on a very nice, small campsite outside Whitby. On our first day we went to the honeypot locations (at least for photographers) of Saltwick Bay and Saltburn. There was no nice sunrise, the tide was far out at Saltwick bay which meant it was at least accessible,Salt and the weather was drab. I decided to dust off my Mamiya 645 film camera and loaded it with Tri-X. I have two lenses, a 24mm and a 50mm, 35mm equivalent. I used the 24mm equivalent most of the time. When I got home a processed the negatives myself and scanned them using an Epson V750 scanner. The rest of the processing was done digitally. The first pictures are from Saltwick bay and the latter ones from Saltburn. I had problems in Saltburn as it was raining and the tripod legs kept sinking into the sand. A shame because a really nice one of the pier was slightly blurred because of unintentional camera movement. Still, it has been done before
