Guernsey, 2nd day, Herm with the Holga and some seaweed

These are some more images using the Holga on Herm. I became fascinated with the patterns the seaweed left on the beach.

Guernsey, 2nd day, Herm with the Holga and some plants

I really enjoyed using the plastic Holga lens on my Nikon camera. The weather on Herm was pretty dull  when we first got there, but brightened up later. I concentrated on taking pictures of plants and seaweed and also took a few beach scenes. As there are a number of these pictures I will make a few posts of them. We will start with plant life. I like the sense of uncertainty that the Holga brings to an image.

Guernsey, 2nd day, St Peter Port

On the second day of our visit we made an excursion to Herm, a small car free island a short ferry ride from Guernsey. We had got to St Peter Port in good time for the ferry which allowed me to take some pictures in the town. Ann had suggested the we make a project out of the trip. I thought using the Holga lens on my Nikon might be interesting, and also relaxing, as it is very light and you cannot really focus it properly! I started as the ferry left the dock in St Peter's Port and here are those few.
