More gardens, Sissinghurst 25th August 2016

After a couple of days in Norfolk and Suffolk we turned our attention to the south east and drove down to Sissinghurst Castle, home to Vita Sackville-West and her famous garden. August is not the best time for gardens but Sissinghurst still managed to put on a show. I went up the tower where you pass Vita's writing studio and a small collection of stained glass. From the top I took a couple of panoramas, one using the sweep facility in the camera (the narrower one) and one which was stitched from around 9 vertical images.
I start with pictures around the tower and house and then go on to the garden images

  1. This was a highlight of our tour, but I did not ascend the tower. The wildflower garden was special.
